RentzelCenter Invited International Competition

Mixed Use Housing, Recreation and Retail in the Heart of the City of Hamburg

The design concept of RentzelCenter is based on the idea of a ‘micro neighborhood’ within the city. The new location will provide daily functions such living, working, recreation, convenience and retail all in one place. Furthermore, the project offers synergy effects with the adjacent University of Hamburg through a Live-Work innovation incubator, thus creating a considerably potential to become an important element of neighborhood identification, which will support the revitalization of the quarter.
