SELECTED AWARDS


National and International Architectural, Urban Design and other Recognition

Atelier Jörg Rügemer's work has been internationally recognized and exhibited. AJR has received numerous international awards and won many competitions in the area of architectural and urban design on three continents. The most recent awards include a first prize in Salt Lake City’s Innovative Housing Competition and a first prize in the internationally open urban design competition 6970 in Salt Lake City. AJR’s realized case study of a sustainable, contemporary discount superstore in Mannheim, Germany was distinguished with several German and U.S. architectural and design awards, including a nomination for the Deutscher Architekturpreis (German Architecture Prize); the project was widely published. The 125 Haus in Park City, Utah, a research-based and 27-months Post-Occupancy monitored case study became Utah’s most energy-efficient and cost-effective residential building. The research findings and data became the foundation for further awarded work in the field of highly energy-efficient, cost-effective and resilient buildings that AJR is involved in.
